Done in a Day
Making an Immediate Impact on the CommunityDone-in-a-Day projects provide League members with a fun, easy way to volunteer in the community. The commitment for Done-in-a-Day projects ranges from minimal to full day events, such a stuffing food baskets, or apple gleaning and painting community rooms. These projects allow members to provide meaningful services without a long-term commitment. These opportunities are a wonderful way to learn more about the variety of organizations available in the Capital Region while meeting fellow members of the community.
Among the local nonprofit agencies that have benefited from a Done-in-a-Day project are:
- Northeast Parent & Child
- Concern for the Hungry - Parson's Child and Family Center
- CAPTAIN (Community Action for Parents Teens and Interested Neighbors)
- YWCA of Schenectady County
- Habitat for Humanity
- Boys & Girls Club-Schenectady
- Franklin Community Center Food Pantry-Saratoga
- Regional Food Bank of NENY
