Meet the 2016–2017 JLSS Board.

We are honored to have such wonderful women serving on the board for the upcoming year. Get to know a little bit about each of our new board members for the 2016–17 board year.

JLSS Officers


Robyn E. Zimmerman has been a member of the Junior League since 2009 making this her 8th year active. She began with the Junior League of Albany as the 3rd generation in her family.  She currently works at Ayco-A Goldman Sachs Company. Robyn received a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Adrian College - Adrian, Michigan in 2006.  She has served on many nonprofit boards, is a Member of Saratoga Leadership and currently is serving on the scholarship committee with Women in Development of Northeastern NY.  Robyn resides in Clifton Park with her husband, Kris Zimmerman, their daughter Kasey Elaine and dog, Tucker James.



Johanna Roche is currently serving as the VP of Finance. She has been a member of the Junior League of Schenectady and Saratoga Counties (JLSS) since 2009. During her time with the league, Johanna has served on the fundraising committee as well as the community committee and has served on the board as Community Director. Originally from Morrisville, Pennsylvania, she has lived in Clifton Park, New York for the last nine years. She is a graduate of University of Scranton with a BS in Marketing. She has worked as Director of Research for Edison Research, a New Jersey based company that conducts market research and exit polling, for the past 15 years. She also owns and manages rental properties in Pennsylvania and Dominican Republic.

Secretary: KAITLYN  VanDyke

Kaitlyn joined the League with the 2014-2015 provisional class as a way to become more involved in her hometown of Schenectady. One of the things Kaitlyn likes most about the League is the opportunity to directly see the impact League projects have on the community. She is excited to serve on the Board this year to support the league and its members. Kaitlyn received her B.A. in Communication/Rhetoric from Nazareth College in Rochester and currently works at The Red Cross in Development. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading a good book, and spoiling her two cats, Sterling and Zorro. Kaitlyn resides in Schenectady with her  husband, Jon.

Communications Director: CASSANDRA NADLER

Cassandra Nadler joined the league in 2012 after graduating from The College of Saint Rose with a Bachelor of the Fine Arts and a Minor in Art History in 2011. She currently works at The Mailworks in Albany as the Senior Graphic Designer/ Color Specialist. Her clients vary from Corporate Marketing Firms to Print Boutiques. When not on the computer, Cassandra takes pride in creating home brews with her husband Scott Nadler. Cassandra is returning to the Communications role after taking a year off to plan and personaly design her wedding which happened in August of this year. She is more than excited to revamp the Committee brand once again to help Celebrate JLSS's 85th Anniversary!

Membership Director: ELISSA PROUT

Elissa Prout joined JLSS as a member of the 2015-16 provisional class and was eager to get involved.  As a 3rd generation Junior League member, she sees the value in the relationship between all members (actives and sustainers).  Elissa received a B.S. in Food Science from Cornell University and currently works as a Food Technologist at Beech-Nut Nutrition in Amsterdam, NY.  Elissa is the current Secretary of the Kiwanis Club of Troy and the Alumni Co-Advisor for the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Organization.  Elissa resides in Schenectady and enjoys volunteering and spending time with her family and friends.

Nominating Director: KATHY OZIMEK

Kathryn Ozimek is currently the Director of Human Resources for the East Region of the American Cancer Society (ACS) has been with ACS since 2012.   Prior to ACS, Kathryn worked for General Electric (GE) for over 13 years working at GE as a Human Resources Manager and prior to that various benefits project manager roles including health care administration.  Kathryn was actively involved in the GE Womens Network, GE Volunteers and is certified in Six Sigma as a Green Belt.  While at GE Kathryn managed the internship program and she was involved in the GE Outreach team.  Kathryn is SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Capital Region Human Resource association.  Kathryn has been involved with the League of Schenectady and Saratoga Counties since 2008.  She was a prior Board Member from 2010-2011.  Kathryn is an active member of her PTA at Skano Elementary School in the Shenendehowa Central School District. Kathryn graduated from Siena College with a BS in Marketing and Management and resides in Clifton Park, NY with her husband and two sons.
