How to Join
The Junior League of Schenectady and Saratoga Counties opens its doors to the enthusiasm of new members. If you
are interested in making a commitment to volunteering, learning more about your community and meeting new friends,
then becoming a member of the Junior League of Schenectady and Saratoga Counties is the right place for you.
As part of an international organization of over 193,000 women, the Junior League of Schenectady and Saratoga Counties
has a mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through
the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. We reach out to women of all races, religions and national
origins who demonstrate an interest in and a commitment to voluntarism. Our purpose is exclusively educational
and charitable.
Admissions Criteria:
1. A prospective member must demonstrate the
following:
a. An interest in voluntarism;
b. A commitment to community services; and
c. An interest in developing her potential for voluntary community service.
2. A prospective member shall be 21 years of age.
3. A prospective member must live within the Junior League's admission area at this time.
The 2009-2010 League year will be challenging, exciting and rewarding and we invite you to join us! Upon joining,
you will take part in our Provisional Training Course, which is offered in the fall of each League year. You will
have the opportunity to meet many dynamic women from the Capital Region, develop new friendships and discover more
about yourself and your community. Each new member plays an important role in the future of the League. Together,
we will continue to make an impact in the Capital Region.
